No início da tarde desta terça-feira, 28, a Academia de Artes e Ciências Televisivas, em um evento online realizado de forma remota, anunciou os indicados ao Emmy Awards 2020. Com algumas surpresas entre os nomeados, se destacaram as inúmeras indicações de Watchmen e Succesion da HBO, e também das comédias The Good Place e The Marvelous Mrs. Masel.
Entre as surpresas estiveram The Mandalorian, do Disney+, e Stranger Things na categoria principal da premiação, Melhor Série de Drama. Os programas desbancaram Euphoria (HBO) e The Morning Show (Apple TV+). Outro destaque é Elisabeth Moss, indicada nos últimos anos por The Handmaid’s Tale e com atuações elogiadas pela crítica especializada, que ficou de fora da premiação este ano. Vale também chamar a atenção pela ausência de Kristen Bell, uma das protagonistas de The Good Place.
