Em uma cerimônia de gala na noite desta segunda-feira, a Academia de Artes e Ciências Televisivas realizou o 75º Emmy Awards no Peacock Theater, em Los Angeles.
A noite de premiação consagrou algumas das principais produções televisivas do último ano. Entre elas: Treta, minissérie da Netflix, que venceu oito categorias de Minissérie, Antologia ou Telefilme, sendo consagrada com o prêmio de Melhor Minissérie; O Urso, que dominou as categorias de comédia recebendo 10 troféus Emmy, incluindo o de Melhor Série de Comédia.
Succession, no entanto, foi a grande série da noite. Embora não tenha vencido categorias técnicas, a série da HBO teve a sua quarta e última temporada consagrada pela premiação ao receber seis Emmys.
A cerimônia contou ainda com inúmeras reuniões e homenagens de séries de sucesso, como Grey’s Anatomy, A Família Soprano, Cheers, Ally McBeal, entre outras.
A Academia de Artes e Ciências Televisivas exibiu o tradicional “in memorian”, que relembra as perdas do último ano. E no final, ao som de “I’ll be there for you”, tema de abertura da série Friends, o ator Matthew Perry, o Chandler da série, que faleceu em 28 de outubro de 2023, foi homenageado.
